Marie Conroy, founder of Conroy Consultants, has over 16 years of experience, with over 12 of those years being spent with the Big Four. Ms. Conroy’s specialties include providing tax consulting and compliance services to real estate investment funds and advisors, property managers, corporate owners of real estate, and real estate owners and operators including real estate investment trusts, commercial developers and residential homebuilders. Her areas of federal income tax practice encompass advising on the structuring and unwinding of partnerships and joint ventures; the taxation of partnership operations; REIT tax compliance, structuring and due diligence; like-kind exchange planning; and general tax accounting for real estate entities and operations.
Ms. Conroy focuses on bringing value to her clients. In the REIT arena, she has participated in and overseen very high level transactions including a conversion of a separate account to a REIT, multi-billion dollar portfolio acquisition and related tax structuring, and capital preservation through cash/stock dividend distributions. Ms. Conroy's client base has extended beyond the United States including countries such as Australia, Germany and Vietnam.
Ms. Conroy’s currently holds the following credentials: Certified Public Accountant in Georgia, New York and Pennsylvania as well as a Certified Management Accountant. She is actively involved with the National Association of Office and Industrial Properties, the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT). Articles authored by Ms. Conroy have appeared in both Real Estate Forum magazine and Global Real Estate Now.

Ms. Conroy's education includes a Bachelor's of Science in Engineering from Southern Polytechnic University, a Master's in Business Administration from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master's of Taxation from Georgia State University.
